I went skiing yesterday. Was a good time indeed. I took out the new K2 Sweet Luv skis that I bought Friday and took them for a spin. Takes a little getting used to when one is used to the skiboards. The new skis are FAST. I forgot what it’s like to sail down the mountain that fast. Also, the Koss headset I dismantled for use with the helmet is a pretty sound solution so long as I align them with my ears ok. Travel with ipod down the mountain. It’s just good to get outside and enjoy the day, vs being cooped up in the house the whole time.

Pretty tired today though. My body is a little worn out. Am using more muscles when you factor in the ski poles, etc. Good stuff and good times indeed. My official report on the K2 Sweet Luv skis? They rock. Nice turning capability, very zippy down the slopes. I get going so fast that I freak out a little. I need to learn to relax into turns and to enjoy the quick cruise.

really long week

Wasn’t able to get a lot done at the start of the week so I pulled a rockstar day and got 8 qualities done for my team. Ridiculous rock and roll day!

Now I’m at the weekend. Very glad for the time off. And day after tomorrow I have to pick up my new skis. Hell yeah! I got plans for this weekend.

There are few things worse than useless meetings. OMFG. You want to discuss vampirism, meetings will suck the very life from your bones. I would be less concerned with the bloodsuckers and be more concerned with the true life sucker of corporate America.

day 4 no smoking

Am really happy with my no smoking to date. I’m trying to watch Heroes and am quite lost. I haven’t watched the series in a long while.

I got out to shop for skis and ended up deciding on o2 sweet luv All-mountain skis. I think I can get them this weekend.

And omfg they killed off Nathan Petrelli. Geez that sucks.

People who take sick time at the beginning of the year just to avoid work are pathetic. What losers. I could just spew they make me so sick. No Damned work ethic at all. What the hell? And then they get warnings for poor attendance and wonder why. I never got into this situation. It’s a dumb reason to get fired.

First day in for the new year

Really and truthfully am ready for some vacation. I think this year that its imperative to have more time off and long weekends. I’m going to try harder for better work life balance. It will help with the energy thing.

Bad days energy wise. I think I am tired and feeling antisocial. I don’t really want work tomorrow. Really want to have a change. Having a boyfriend would be a nice thing. Not really feeling too keen on myself these days. Sucks. This is so unlike me.

The movie was very traditional. Good stuff. I think its a bit scary for a Disney movie. But I liked it. Happy first of the year.

5 min window stuff

I never thought I’d be so happy to be back at work. The truth is, my team is nowhere near as draining as my nieces and nephews are. It’s nice to be in the world I have constructed for myself, rather than struggling to deal with where the worlds cross over with family.

Seriously speaking, you ought to have firm control of children rather than letting them run wild. It appears things are going better now. Energetically speaking, things are going better. I don’t feel as hyped up or drained today. Next on the order of events: I will continue my scrub of the house. I need to return it to a better state for energy flows and for meditation. I’ve let it slide for far too long.

When family is a real chore

I went home to my parent’s house for Christmas; took some real effort to get the arrangements to get off work this year. It was okay for the most part, but let me tell you what a drain children are. My brother’s family is chaotically draining. A series of screams, shrieks, and behavior that is ill-managed culminated into a throng of 4 children who are unruly at best and just straight up undisciplined and annoying at their worst.

Thought I was going to strangle them by the end and I finally snapped at them. Enough is fucking enough! You don’t get to be a retard just because you don’t get what you want. And shrieking at the slightest provocation is grating on the nerves. I yelled, and of course my sister in law got offended. I said some things about her parenting that, while uncomplimentary, were nonetheless true. Her kids never listen to her and as a result, they are very ill-behaved. Seriously? I don’t mind well-behaved children. But when vacation turns into a drain-fest, what’s a vampire to do but go hunting in return? Astral plane, here I come…
